Sketch Comedy Writing 101 Class
October 23, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
This introductory course will teach you the basics of sketch comedy writing. Learn to shape and polish your creative ideas for the stage or video. You’ll learn about the fundamentals of sketch writing, receive feedback on your work, collaborate with others comedically, and leave the course with sketches of your own authorship.
Each week, come ready to pitch and craft ideas as well as take notes on comedic structure and technique. Bring a notebook and laptop/tablet to get the most out of your time in class. This 8-week course will culminate with a table read of the best sketches from students that will feature comedic actors from the Improv Collective Community.
Our class enrollment is capped at 10 students, to maximize individual feedback.
